Founded in 1944 by Charlie Bartle and Cecil Gibson, Bartle & Gibson began as a customer and supplier-focused business with stores in Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia. Their first expansion took place in 1951 when they opened a branch in Edmonton, Alberta. Over the next two decades, they expanded across Western Canada, including locations in Calgary, Yellowknife, and Surrey. In 1983, electrical products were added to their distribution portfolio. Today, Bartle & Gibson comprises 31 branches across Western Canada, thanks to their commitment to exceptional service. Since 1944, they've remained a privately owned, 100% Canadian organization, earning the trust of customers, suppliers, and employees.
